Student understandings in alternative conceptions very important to clear before learning in wide a deep contents in chemistry. The purposes of this study were 1) to investigate student’s understanding in biomolecules10 conceptions before and after learning through science technology and society (STS) approach supplemented with Vee heuristic diagram method, and between STS approach supplemented with Vee heuristic diagram method, and traditional teaching method. A Control Group Pretest-Posttest Design was used for the study. The samples were concluded of 62 students in two classrooms, 31 students per each, levels 12 or Muthayomsuksa 6, in Strirachinuthit School, Thailand. The Data collections were used two-tier multiple choices with individual supported reasons, student written work and interview. The statistics employed for analysing data were percentage, mean, standard deviation and Paired conceptions after learning were significantly higher than before learning in both teaching methods, and 2) the percentage of students who had correct understandings in biomolecules conceptions after learning through STS approach supplemented with Vee heuristic diagram method and traditional teaching method were 95 and 69, respectively. So, STS approach supplemented with Vee heuristic diagram method is more suitable method than traditional teaching method for encouraging student’s understandings in chemistry conceptions.
